Christmas Countdown: Die Cut Black, Gold, Green and Red Christmas Bags

Everyone gets excited about Christmas, but sometimes counting down to Christmas can make the big day even more exciting. Today I'm sharing one way you can design a Christmas Countdown with black gift bags covered with beautiful Christmas die cut shapes. You could use this project for a "12 Days of Christmas" project for a neighbor and add small gifts to each bag. Your friends would LOVE to receive each one of these Christmas Countdown gift bags. Read more to learn how I put these bags together and to shop the supplies.

To create the bags, I simply used Christmas and holiday die cuts. I cut the shapes from gold shimmer cardstock, green cardstock, and red cardstock. And all countdown numbers are cut from white cardstock. The die cuts I suggest using for this project are listed below. Keeping the colors to a few distinct choices and using black bags makes these shapes really pop. Each bag is filled with gold tissue paper helping the bags shine a little bit more.

Here is a short video of how I created the bags and how you can alter this project to fit your personal style. You can watch HERE on my YouTube channel or below:
